On Feb 18, senior US and Russian officials met in Riyadh. The next day, Waltz said the French and UK leaders would visit the US to discuss the Ukraine crisis with Trump. Zhang Hong, researcher of Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies, CASS, said the talks may lead to the partial lifting of sanctions on Russia and promote a more multipolar international structure.
