Fudan University researchers have developed "WUJI", the world's first 32-bit RISC-V microprocessor based on 2D semiconductors. Published in Nature on April 2, the breakthrough integrates 5,900 transistors using a RISC-V architecture, achieving ultra-low power consumption and GB-level memory support. This milestone overcomes a decade-long bottleneck in 2D semiconductor integration and signals new potential for AI hardware and next-gen chip manufacturing.
