Data Ripples | 100 Hours, $3.7 Billion: How Expensive Is the U.S. Military's "Epic Fury" Operation?

As missiles continue to launch, another curve rises just as fast—the cost of the American war machine. Recently, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) released a report estimating the cost of the first 100 hours of the hypothetical U.S. military operation against Iran, “Epic Fury.”

According to the estimate, the first 100 hours would cost about $3.7 billion—roughly $37 million per hour, or about $600,000 per minute. Even as the fighting continues, the bill arrives first.
