For 22 consecutive years, village doctor Tan Jianjun has kept his clinic open every day, including through 22 Spring Festival holidays. Based in Yizhang County, central China's Hunan Province, the 46-year-old sees 70 to 80 patients daily during the peak season. Following a family tradition of nearly a century in rural medicine, Tan prioritizes patient care over payment, allowing villagers to settle bills later. He has written over 400,000 prescriptions and now mentors his son, a clinical medicine student, to continue serving the community.(Photo/China Youth Daily)
