A survey of 1,334 respondentsconducted by China Youth Daily found that 77.3% had rental experience, with digital devices (42.5%) and outdoor gear (38.9%) among the most rented items. Many young consumersbelieverenting helps save money on low-frequency purchases, reduce waste, and enjoy new products without long-term ownership, signaling a move toward more rational and experience-driven consumption.
