China's retail sales expanded by 3.7 percent year-on-year to reach 50.12 trillion yuan ($7.19 trillion) in 2025, according to the data recently released by the National Bureau of Statistics. China's consumption has shown resilience over the past year and has an improved structure. It is set to continue as a major engine of growth in the new year, the official said.
