Chinese electric vehicle maker Leapmotor has announced an ambitious target of selling 1 million cars in 2026. Despite anticipating a tougher market ahead, Founder and CEO Zhu Jiangming expressed confidence in the company’s sustainable growth. In 2025, Leapmotor delivered over 596,500 vehicles, doubling its sales and maintaining profitability. The company’s strategy of full-stack in-house R&D, covering 65% of core vehicle costs, supports its rapid global expansion. Having already entered 35 markets with more than 1,800 overseas outlets, Leapmotor is positioning itself for the next decade, with the long-term goal of becoming a world-class automaker by achieving annual sales exceeding 4 million units.
