China has successfully connected the world's most powerful offshore wind turbine to the grid in Shandong. The domestically-developed 26MW unit sets two global records—largest single-unit capacity and longest rotor diameter.
With a 310-meter rotor span, one rotation generates 62 kWh of clean energy. Each turbine can power 55,000 households annually, supporting China's green energy transition.[Photo/CMG]
