What a thrilling start to the 2025-2026 ISU Short Track World Tour for Team China!
In the early hours of this Monday (Beijing time), the Chinese mixed relay team clinched the gold medal in the 2000m mixed relay at the World Cup season opener in Montreal. The quartet of Sun Long, Liu Shaoang, Wang Xinran, and Zhang Chutong delivered a stunning performance. In a nail-biting finish, Liu Shaoang executed a brilliant last-lap overtake to seal the victory with a time of 2:39.528.
The success didn't stop there! The men's 5000m relay team also grabbed a silver medal, while Sun Long (men's 1500m) and Liu Shaoang (men's 1000m) each added a bronze to the tally.
A fantastic start for the team as they gear up for the rest of the season!
