On September 29th, at the Beijing National Tennis Center, during the men's singles quarterfinals of the 2025 China Open, Medvedev greeted the audience after winning the match. On the same day, the tournament's 8th seed Medvedev won in straight sets, beating the 2nd seed Zverev 2-0 to advance to the semi-finals smoothly.
