In the first round of the men's singles event at the WTT World Table Tennis China Grand Slam, held on Monday night in Beijing, China's Wang Chuqin, the world's top-ranked player, defeated South Korea's veteran Jang Woojin in straight sets, securing a winning start to the tournament.
After the match, Wang Chuqin stated in an interview that Beijing is his "second hometown" and thanked the audience for coming to the venue to cheer him on.
