In 2024, Wuhu, Anhui province, China, launched the country's first long-distance (30km) multi-rotor drone logistics route. A drone from United Aircraft Group's Lianfei Kuaisong delivered medicine and seeds from Wanzhi District to a village. Wuhu now operates three such urban-rural routes, exceeding the traditional 5km limit and cutting delivery times by avoiding ground traffic. As a national low-altitude airspace reform pilot, Anhui uses this to boost two-way cargo flow between cities and countryside. (Photo/China Youth Daily)
