Grain in Ear, is the ninth solar term, signifying a pivotal moment in the agricultural cycle. Rainfall significantly increases during Grain in Ear compared to the previous eight solar terms. After Grain in Ear, many parts of China enter the rainy season. The middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River successively enter the plum rain season, which generally lasts until Minor Heat, providing abundant moisture for crops.
