The number of inbound foreign travelers at Beijing ports surged by 80.8% year-on-year in the first three days of the “May Day” holiday.

Data released recently by the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection indicate that the number of inbound and outbound travelers at Beijing ports remained at a high level during the first three days of this year's “May Day” holiday. From May 1 to May 3, the station processed a total of 162,000 inbound and outbound travelers, marking a 21.5% year-on-year increase. It is forecasted that Beijing ports will experience an inbound peak on May 5 and 6, with an estimated average daily inbound volume of 33,000 person-times.
