A Pakistani student's one-of-a-kind rural adventure in China

"From what I've heard, this area's soil was in poor shape back then, but these days, farmers can cultivate a wide variety of vegetables, including sea buckthorn and tomatoes."

RIAZ, an inquisitive Pakistani student from the Shanxi Agricultural University's "Science and Technology Courtyard," together his Chinese classmates, arrived at Lingqiu County, Shanxi Province to find out more.

In Lingqiu, he found not just the state-of-the-art agricultural technologies and facilities but also "new farmers" who have returned to their hometowns to start businesses and propel the prosperity of the community. The e-commerce concept of "live streaming orders and same-day delivery" is taking off here.

Not only that, but the dwellers may access all types of information and the news about the village through a "smart screen"; the elderly are all fitted with smart wristbands that can identify and track their physical health; books can be seen everywhere in the local school. Teachers do more than just deliver information; they also motivate their pupils to think critically and creatively.

The villagers have seen the “transformative changes” for themselves thanks to policy-driven efforts of modernization.

Let's watch this video and go on an immersive countryside adventure with him.
